Faro Crane and Sheep Viewing Festival

Join wildlife enthusiasts in Faro, Yukon for a weekend of wildlife viewing, speakers, workshops, food, and more. In May, the Sandhill Cranes migrate through Faro on their way to Alaska, and Fannin Sheep can be spotted grazing close to town.
In spring, tens of thousands of Sandhill Cranes darken the skies above Faro as they migrate to their breeding grounds in northern Yukon and Alaska. Come and enjoy a weekend of wildlife appreciation at Faro’s annual Crane and Sheep Festival. The awe-inducing number of cranes continues to attract and inspire visitors. Catch a glimpse of the Fannin’s sheep that are unique to the area in the hillsides surrounding the town.
