Beginning Snowshoeing with David Jennings

Learn how to snowshoe in a safe and supportive manner. David will introduce you to the skills required to safely head out on your own or with others into our white wilderness. Shoes are provided, as is the trail access fee. Topics will include what shoes are right for me, how to fall safely, disentangle myself once I have fallen, what clothing items I should wear, and what to include in my pack. This is a per-event ticket-priced event.

With over 40 years of winter backcountry skiing and snowshoeing instruction experience, David can easily and freely answer your questions. The activities we do will prepare you to venture forth with confidence.

Please come prepared for outside winter activity, wearing good winter boots and warm outerwear, including a toque, mitts and neck warmer, and layers to shed when we sweat. Please bring a pack with a full water bottle and a snack. The program has a cold weather cutoff at -20
