The Yukon River Quest is an annual marathon paddling race. Paddlers come from around the world to test their endurance, racing day and night to the Klondike on one of North America’s great rivers. It is open to solo and tandem canoes and kayaks, solo stand-up paddle boards (SUPs), and bigger C4 and Voyageur canoes. The race begins in Whitehorse, travels through Carmacks and finishes in Dawson City. Free for spectators
This Year The Yukon River Quest will be celebrating its 25 Anniversary, From June 25-28, 2025. Participants take off from Whitehorse and paddle the 740 km (460mi) to reach Dawson City in marathon time, usually within 48 hours. Cheer on the teams as they leave Whitehorse or arrive in Dawson.
