Have a headlight and red taillight after dark.
Bicycle helmets must be worn at all times.
Children under the age of 12 are permitted
to bike on sidewalks. There is no biking on
sidewalks in the downtown central business
district between Wood and Elliott Streets
and Front Street and Fifth Avenue.
Must not wear headphones in both ears.
GETTING AROUND TOWN
Bike & Walk:
There are dedicated bike lanes
and multi-use trails throughout the
downtown core. Find them along the
Yukon River Waterfront,
4th Avenue and Two Mile Hill.
Looking for downtown parking?
From May to October there’s
designated visitor parking outside the
MacBride Museum at Front Street and
Wood Street, and there is RV parking
at the Visitor Information Centre at 2nd
Avenue and Lambert Street.

and pickup your free three day visitor
parking pass.

Bikers must provide reflectors or taillights
for bike trailers and not exceed the
manufacturer’s occupancy limit.
Motor vehicles that are turning must yield
to bicycles, not park in a bicycle lane and
not pass bicycles unless there is a metre of
open space between the car and the bike.
Motor vehicles are not allowed to drive in a
bicycle lane in the downtown area.
