The Inuvik Sunrise Fesval celebrates the return of
the sun aer thirty-one days of darkness, where the
people of Inuvik and the surrounding communies
come together to revel in the first sunrise of the year
through a multude of events and fesvies,
including: country food, music, and winter acvies.
The celebraons connue throughout the weekend
with a party on the permafrost on Saturday evening
with our famous Giant Bonfire and Firework Display
lighng up the skies of Inuvik.

Snowshoe Races, Muskrat Jamboree King & Queen
The Muskrat Jamboree celebrates the coming of
Spring in the Mackenzie Delta, aer a long, cold, dark
Arcc winter. Locals from Inuvik and the surrounding
communies come together to eat, play, dance and
spend me with family and friends.
The celebraon takes place in March or April for four
days of tradional outdoor Spring acvies and
events including, harpoon throwing, tea boiling, dog
team races and skidoo races. Warm up aer a long
day outside and take part in the community feasts,
talent shows and more.
