Rotary Peace Park

The Canada Day Tree Grove Rotary Peace Park, Whitehorse, Yukon

Initiated by the Canada Day Committee for Yukon in 1993, the City of Whitehorse has graciously continued the annual tradition of planting a tree in the Canada Day Tree Grove, Rotary Peace Park, to provide enjoyment for future generations of Canadians.

The tree planting ceremony is held each July 1, the anniversary of the Confederation of Canada in 1867. The Canada Tree Grove is a living symbol of our appreciation for the contributions of our ancestors, the natural resources we steward, and our aspirations for the future.
