Watson Lake Hotels & Motels

Watson Lake is known as the Gateway to the Yukon. While Contact Creek is the first place you'll encounter driving into the Yukon, Watson Lake is the first major community. With a population of about 1,400 people it offers travellers year-round amenities including full service grocery store, recreation centre, a ski hill and scenic hiking/walking trails.

Watson Lake is a popular stopover for people driving north to Alaska or people exploring the Yukon. Located right along the Alaska highway it is 510 kilometres north of Fort Nelson or 436 kilometres south of Whitehorse.

If you are looking for a place to stay like a hotel or motel room the listings below offer a good variety and selection considering the relative small size of Watson Lake. We recommend booking direct instead of using the large southern booking engines as it keeps more of your travel dollars in the community.
