Fox Bay Retreat
Fox Bay Retreat is a secluded off-the-grid rustic retreat nestled among the pines on the west shore of famous Lake Laberge just north of Whitehorse, Yukon. It is owned and operated by the McDougall family who have, for many years, catered to tourists from all over the world as Kanoe People Ltd. one of Yukon’s premiere wilderness outfitters. IN THE SUMMER come and play with us under the midnight sun. Take a canoe or kayak and spend the day exploring the quiet bays and inlets of the lake. Wet a line and spend some time trolling for lake trout or shore fishing for arctic grayling. Spend the evening around a friendly campfire and spend the night listening to the sounds of nature in the raw. Join us in a variety of guided trips in and around FOX BAY RETREAT. These trips include; transportation in and out and a full slate of seasonal guided excursions.
IN THE WINTER inhale the crispness of an early morning. Tie on some skis or snowshoes and make your personal mark on a downy blanket of fresh snow. Watch the phenomena of the Aurora Borealis from a hill. high above the camp or from the snowy expanse of the frozen lake. See what it is like to mush your own team of huskies. Enjoy a bonfire underneath a star-studded northern sky and listen to the lonely howl of a wolf along a distant shore. Take a snow machine ride, do a little ice fishing.
For the do-it-yourself enthusiast, our cabins are available for rental by the day, weekend or longer - (some minimums apply).
